The educational structure of the citizenry
The citizens of Ústí nad Labem have a higher level of achieved education when compared with other towns in the region.
Education, schools
The city has a dense network of school and preschool facilities and the state education system is also represented by music and art schools. In Ústí nad Labem, it is possible to choose between numerous state and private vocational secondary schools, specialised secondary schools and grammar schools, which prepare their pupils either for professional lives or for further studies at various universities.
The city is home to the J. E. Purkyně University with 8 faculties, which currently has a total of 7,600 registered students.
