Winter sports in the Ústí region

The Ore Mountains are made up of a continuous mountain belt of 130 km in length and form a natural border between Bohemia and Germany, where the mountains gradually descend to the lowlands. This descent is far steeper on the Czech side and offers ideal conditions for downhill skiing and snowboarding. Cross-county skiing tracks are found on the ridges of the Ore Mountains, used by cross-country skiers and dog sleds alike.
