Museum of Mineralogy

The municipality seats the birthplace of Josef Emanuel Hibsch (1852-1941), who mapped the Bohemian Midlands and saved a number of  distinct  hills before destruction, apart from others, today’s European curiosity - the Vrkoč rock formation. A marker commemorating  his name is located on the stone outside the hill church. The municipality was granted a subsidy to build a museum dedicated to its famous son. It was opened in 2002, to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the scientist’s birthday. The museum stands on the common and can only be visited upon telephone agreement with Mrs Pincová on telephone number +420 607 217 218.
