99% of the city is supplied with drinking water from the public water network. The supply is provided by Severočeské vodárny a kanalizace, a.s. (North Bohemian Water Company), which operates the entire water utility infrastructure in the territory of Ústí nad Labem. The drinking water supplied to the public mains network is of the high standard required to meet the quality requirements specified for newly born children.
Power and heating energy
The power supply is provided by Severočeská energetika, a.s. (North Bohemian Energy). Heat demands are mostly covered from the central heat supply system (75%), and the rest is covered by local sources. Power prices for major consumers are specified according to consumption and connection.
The supply and distribution of natural gas is provided by Severočeská plynáren-ská a.s. (North Bohemian Gas). Gas is distributed through a gas mains system and regulation stations.
There are several cable television operators, and telecommunication network operation is provided by Český Telecom, a.s. The network is digital. The city and its surroundings are well covered with mobile telephone network operators i.e. Eurotel, T - Mobile and Oscar. Radio and television signal coverage of the city territory is also good.
Solid waste processing is provided by the company Technické služby města Ústí nad Labem a.s. (Technical Services of Ústí nad Labem)
The whole network of the technical infrastructure, including telecommunications, has sufficient reserves to link development areas.
